The first system to provide all-tyres-deflated
performance on the single piece wheel.
No ‘rubber’ components are required for Runflat CBR’s advanced beadlock
Some may consider it necessary for beadlock components to be made from rubber in order to cater for varying tyre bead thicknesses, however a fixed width rubber design can only be a compromise, providing good beadlock with thick beads but reduced beadlock with thin beads.
The combination of a relatively heavy rubber material combined with a fixed width was not accepted within the design brief for Runflat CBR. Instead, a new flexible cantilever design was developed, with an adjustable width base to ensure optimum beadlock force was applied at all times, regardless of tyre make.
